I discovered rescue photography completely by accident.
I volunteered as a photographer at one adoption event for California Labradors, Retrievers & More in 2015 and I was instantly smitten. There’s something incredible about meeting dogs and watching them grow, one snapshot at a time. They learn to play, to be affectionate, to trust.
Being part of a rescue dog’s fresh start is a new experience every time, and one that I doubt I’ll ever get tired of. So many dogs are given a rough start in life and I’m honored help tell their stories.
My husband and I adopted our own four-legged member of the family, Xena, from Labs & More in 2016.
